the soldier runs to his next position
dodging bullets
with expert precision
he reaches cover and carries on firing
untill the gunshots and bombs go quiet
his head start spiriling
with a single glance at his camo shirt
blood soaked he hits the dirt
a fellow soldier comes to his aid
he cant go now and leave his brigade
he pulls out a picture of life back at home
he knows he'll never be alone
he holds it to his chest and looks to the sky
he cannot lay here while others die
he picks up his rifle and carries fires once more
once more he is shot to the floor
a warmth spreads through his body
he holds the picture tight in his hand
his soul drifts to that holy land
he is awoken by his childhhod friend
reunited once again
a smile creeps across his face
he says kate i should of never left you
she says jake you'd better pull through
